The company founded in 2005 was initially based in an old storehouse in Unterpremstätten near Graz. The private house served as an office. At first, the business was exclusively geared towards the sale of used cars. In the first year, 257 vehicles were sold with just two employees. However, the owner’s vision was clear from the start and the future plans for a used auto center were concrete and target-oriented. The company grew steadily and in 2010 it transferred to its current location in Lieboch near Graz.
Today, thirteen years later, the company’s key data bears no relationship to the situation at the time. Onlinecars, with more than 30 employees, has an annual turnover of about € 90 million. This success is based on the up to about 6200 vehicles sold every year (the company is the largest independent used car dealer in Austria) and on the large number of customers that use its high-quality services centring on the idea of mobility (ultramodern workshop, car body shop and paint shop).
